Jadon Sancho could exit Man United on loan in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Sancho has been embroiled in a public fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman criticised his training performances - and took to social media to defend himself.

The winger hit back on social media in a post which has since been deleted, claiming he has been a “scapegoat” for a long time at the club and insisted he has conducted himself “very well” in training.

Man United have since confirmed in a statement last week (14 September) that Sancho will train away from the first-team group “pending resolution of a squad discipline issue”.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that it is now looking a "long road back" to first-team involvement at the club under Ten Hag.

Sources say it will take a "huge fee" for Man United to sanction a permanent move for Sancho in January.

However, it is believed a loan move could be the most viable route to an exit in the mid-season window.

Sancho cost a reported £73million when he joined Man United from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021 - and the Old Trafford club are reluctant to let him go for a cut-price fee.

According to FBRef, the England international earns a weekly wage of £250,000 on a contract which runs until June 2026.

He has turned out just three times as a substitute this season for a total of 76 minutes.
