Jarrod Bowen appears exit-bound in new message after West Ham United ’embarrassment’

Jarrod Bowen has been the talk of the city after West Ham United were relegated from the Premier League for the first time in 14 years.

Despite notching 11 goals and 12 assists in another decent personal campaign for the club captain, he couldn’t quite get the Hammers over the line to safety, with Tottenham benefitting from their demise.

It is understood that the Irons now must raise upwards of £100million in player sales to fund their drop down to the Championship next season, meaning that several big-name stars could leave.

Although Bowen has already stated his desire to get the club back to the Premier League, his latest message to the fans would suggest that West Ham’s transfer chiefs might be searching for a new winger.

Jarrod Bowen causes more concern with West Ham message

Football Insider understands that Man United are set to explore a deal for Bowen, and the Red Devils are unlikely to be the only club eyeing up a bargain deal for the England international.

Of course, the winger is devastated. Nobody is arguing that he didn’t want to give more, to produce more on the pitch, and keep the Hammers in the Premier League. But it just didn’t click this season.

Football is all about results, and now, West Ham are heading into the Championship with one of the most dangerous forwards in the division. But they might not be for long.

Many supporters have already picked up on his Instagram message, suggesting that he’s already looking at a move away based on the language used. He talks a lot about West Ham, but very little about himself.

Losing Bowen would be absolute chaos ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, but could anyone really blame him? Relegation is an “embarrassment,” as the player has said himself, and he deserves better.

How much could the Hammers earn from their captain’s departure?

Bowen has been a brilliant servant for the club, ever since arriving from Hull City on a £20million deal from Hull City in 2020.

Speaking to Football Insider, Stefan Borson believes that West Ham could sell Bowen for £35million at the very most, mainly due to be 29 years of age, despite being under contract until 2030.

That would be very little profit, but the Hammers need to raise as much money as possible to survive in the Championship, and the player is far too good not to be featuring in the Premier League.

It really wouldn’t be a surprise to see him try a new challenge next season, and his message to the fans on social media would suggest that the Hammers will have to fight without him in their corner.
