The draw for the group stage of football’s elite competition was held on Thursday evening in Monaco.
Celtic were drafted into pot four after an 8-4 aggregate victory against FC Astana on Tuesday evening and they were handed an unkind draw with both European giants Bayern Munich and Juventus drawn alongside Belgian giants Anderlecht.

They suffered two defeats against Barcelona alongside a single loss against Monchengladbach with their other three results ending in draws.
However, that wasn’t enough to take them off the bottom spot and the Glasgow giants went crashing out without a single victory.
This season Celtic will be hoping for at least a third place finish and they will have their eyes on progressing past the group stage for the first time since 2013.
