Joshua Zirkzee's agent Kia Joorabchian has held talks over a move to Juventus for the Man United striker, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 23-year-old only made the move to Old Trafford in the summer, signing from Bologna for £36.5million (Sky Sports).

But after coming off the bench to score the winner against Fulham on his debut the Dutchman has struggled for form, and is yet to get one the scoresheet again.

As a result, there has already been speculation about a potential departure from Old Trafford for Zirkzee, with some fans keen to see him leave, and Juventus are now looking to take advantage with a midseason loan.

Representatives from the Italian giants apparently held talks with Joorabchian during a trip to England this week, and are hopeful that Man United can be tempted to sanction a temporary deal for Zirkzee in January.

Juventus loan could be good for Man United striker

Football Insider Opinion

A temporary move back to Italy could make sense for the striker and all concerned come the January transfer window.

Things have not worked for Zirkzee since he arrived at Old Trafford, and it seems the Red Devils are already looking at new strikers for when the market opens.

Moving the Dutchman on would help the Red Devils create space in the squad for a new option in that area, who could provide more of the firepower that Ruben Amorim's side need.

A move to Juventus would also reunite the 23-year-old with Thiago Motta, who he previously impressed under with Bologna.

That could therefore help to bring the best out of him again, and potentially give him some confidence and momentum ahead of a return to Old Trafford in the summer, or at the very least to boost his transfer value.

Juventus' attempts to tempt the Red Devils into sanctioning a loan move for Zirkzee is therefore something that could be well worth considering for in Manchester.
