Inside sources know nothing about Leeds United’s interest in Peterborough striker Jack Marriott after transfer claims, according to a journalist.
The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Phil Hay claims on his personal Twitter account that those close to the 23-year-old forward are unaware of the Whites being in pursuit of the hot shot, after they were reported to be in a transfer battle for his signing.
seem to get linked with Ulloa every window. People close to Marriott not aware of interest from Leeds.

The Mirror had claimed on their website that Thomas Christiansen’s side had locked horns with Hull City over trying to capture the £3million-rated goal machine, who has already hit home 23 goals to help his side sit ninth in League One and reach the FA Cup fourth round, scoring twice in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa.
Football Insider verdict
Marriott’s close contacts might not have heard anything about Leeds’ interest, but that does not mean there is nothing going on behind the scenes. He has proven he can do the business against Championship opposition, sinking Aston Villa in the FA Cup, and with Leeds seeking some added firepower for the second half of the season, his performance may well have piqued their interest. Still, Peterborough are not going to want to let their star man depart without a fight, and with Hull City reportedly interested too, the price may keep rising until one of the three parties buckles. Will it be Leeds? Possibly, but with a play-off hunt firmly on for the Whites, Andrea Radrizzani might well splash the cash to avoid disappointment.
