Kamara tipped to dazzle at Aston Villa after news of £6m bid - pundit
Kevin Phillips has tipped Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara to excel in the Premier League if signed by Aston Villa.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Claret and Blue said the 26-year-old would be an asset to Steven Gerrard’s side as he can help the squad understand the manager’s demands.
Rangers confirmed Gerrard had moved to Villa Park on Thursday.
According to the Daily Record (November 12th), Villa are set to renew their interest in Kamara following Gerrard’s appointment.
The Midlands club were reportedly considering a £6million bid for the Finland international last summer.
Villa sporting director Johan Lange is said to be a big fan of the centre-midfielder, who put pen to paper on a contract at Ibrox in September.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the transfer news, Phillips said:
“It wouldn’t surprise me one little bit if he went back in for one of the lads at Rangers.
“It’s great to have players in that midfield area who know how the manager works. Kamara knows how the ways in which manager works and he knows what he expects. That player can speak to the other players and help them understand what the manager wants, his philosophy.
“It makes sense that he would go back for one of his former players.
“Kamara is certainly a player who could do a job in the Premier League.”
