Kasper Hogh has previously been linked to Celtic ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has heavily impressed at Bodo/Glimt and was one of the main stars of their run to the Champions League round of 16 in March.

Now, with the summer transfer window around the corner, Celtic not only need to make Hogh a target, but he must be their priority over the coming months.

A rebuild of the squad is expected in the summer after a topsy-turvy campaign under three different managers.

However, with Celtic potentially losing both first-team strikers, they must make a move for Hogh quickly.

Celtic on track for frontline rebuild this summer

As it stands, Celtic are currently set to lose Kelechi Iheanacho.

The former Manchester City striker’s deal runs out at the end of the season, and the Hoops are yet to activate his one-year extension.

On top of this, Daizen Maeda has made it clear that he wants to play in the Premier League, which makes a summer sale highly likely.

Therefore, as it stands, Johnny Kenny is Celtic’s only natural first-team striker going into the new campaign, a player who has already shown that he is not good enough in the Scottish Premiership.

As a result, Celtic have to go all out to secure the signing of Hogh. Not only would the striker solve this issue, but the addition of his ability to the squad would provide a massive upgrade to the front line.

Hogh scored five goals in the Champions League this season in 12 matches, and also picked up four assists.

On top of this, he also netted 17 times in 28 Eliteserien games in the 2025 campaign.

Who else is chasing Hogh?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Leeds United are also chasing Hogh this summer.

The West Yorkshire club also have a desire to upgrade their front line after successfully staying in the Premier League.

However, it is believed that Celtic have a better chance of sealing the deal given Hogh’s desire to continue playing Champions League football next season

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Celtic will make a move for the attacker over the upcoming months.
