Everton attacker Kevin Mirallas has revealed that he always enjoys playing against big teams like Tottenham.
The 29-year-old will hope to be involved on Sunday when the Toffees travel to White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
Ronald Koeman’s side are unbeaten in their last nine league matches and are making a late attempt to catch the top six.
Meanwhile, Spurs should prove to be a difficult opposition as they are currently second in the league table.
Mirallas has scored twice in his Everton career against Spurs and admitted he is always confident playing against them.
“I like to play there [at White Hart Lane]; the atmosphere, the pitch and the stadium,” Mirallas said, as quoted by the club’s official website. “Tottenham are a big team and when I play against a big team I’m always confident.”
Everton have found fantastic form in 2017, but must now face a very difficult away match at Spurs.
The two teams played at a 1-1 draw in the previous meeting this season on the opening day and it’s likely to be another close affair.
Mirallas has found himself omitted from the starting line-up recently as youngster Ademola Lookman gets his chance.
The Belgium international has not started in the last three games, but made an impact off the bench to grab an assist on Saturday’s 2-0 win over Sunderland.
He has scored just three goals this season for the Toffees, but maintains he is confident ahead of the Spurs clash.
