Kieran Tierney: I would love it if this PL attacker was at Celtic next year

Kieran Tierney has revealed he would “love it” if Patrick Roberts remain at Celtic next season instead of returning to Manchester City.
Roberts, 20, is currently on loan at Celtic from Pep Guardiola’s City, but his 18-month spell north of the border will come to an end at the end of the season.
Both Tierney and Roberts are renowned for their close friendship which has blossomed during Roberts’ time on Parkhead, as both stars continue to shine in Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Speaking to the Evening Times, left-back Tierney knows he has little say in Roberts’ future at Celtic Park but believes the former Fulham star does have a decision to make.
“He is a good teammate and a good mate of mine but I think you have to trust him to do what he is best for his career,” Tierney said on Roberts.

“That is something that he needs to decide for himself. Obviously I would love it if he stayed on here but that is not really anything to do with me.
“He needs to make that decision himself but he has had a really successful loan spell here and I know how much he has enjoyed it.”
Roberts proved just how effective he can be during Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final, as he ripped Rangers left-back Myles Beerman apart during the Hoops’ 2-0 victory.
The fleet-footed winger was in fine form, with Maltese defender Beerman resorting to fouling the England Under-20 international just to stop him.
Celtic’s number 27 has provided a huge 15 assists this season as well as scoring seven goals for the Bhoys during his 41 league and cup appearances under former Liverpool boss Rodgers.
However, it remains to be seen if Roberts will have a chance under Guardiola at the Etihad, with City possessing talents such as Leroy Sane, Kevin De Bruyne, Nolito and Jesus Navas.
In other Celtic news, these two Hoops stars have been named in the SPL team of the week.
