La Liga expert issues emphatic Casemiro claim after Man United training ground reveal
Kevin Campbell has suggested he is unsurprised to see “experienced” superstar Casemiro integrating so well at Man United.
The former Everton striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, covered the 30-year-old at Real Madrid during his time working as a pundit for La Liga TV.
Casemiro made his first start for Man United against Real Sociedad last week (8 September) and could reprise the role against Sheriff on Thursday (15 September).
According to the Manchester Evening News (12 September), the Brazil international midfielder and countryman Antony have already increased the intensity of training at the Red Devils’ Carrington training base.
Casemiro won five Champions League trophies and three La Liga titles during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Campbell insisted the signing of the defensive midfielder is “only going to be good” for the Old Trafford side.

He told Football Insider: “Casemiro, a lot of the time, was the tempo setter at Real Madrid.
“I covered Real, I covered Spain for quite a while. At times when Real Madrid weren’t at it, he was always at it.
“He was putting tackles in, organising, making sure they were solid – and he was coming up with important goals too.
“This is a guy who is so experienced, he knows what to do. Him being at Man United is only going to be good for them.”
Casemiro’s arrival will have left the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay scrambling to prove their worth in order to remain a first choice option in the Man United midfield.
The Red Devils sit fifth in the Premier League after four straight top-flight wins.
