Largie Ramazani: Leeds United plan to accept new £10m offer

Largie Ramazani is edging closer to a permanent move away from Leeds United ahead of the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 25-year-old has spent the season on loan at La Liga outfit Valencia and had been tipped to return to Elland Road to fight for his place under Daniel Farke.

However, Leeds now have no long-term plans for him to return after his loan spell, and will instead attempt to move him on permanently should offers arrive.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Leeds have placed a £10million price tag on Ramazani ahead of the summer.

Farke does not plan to integrate the winger back into his side after the success they have had this season, and will look to cash in and reinvest ahead of a busy window for Leeds.

Could Leeds United allow Largie Ramazani exit?

Football Insider revealed earlier this month that Leeds are planning to accept offers for Ramazani in a bid to raise funds from his permanent departure.

Whether Valencia would be able to afford the asking price to make his loan move permanent is currently unclear, but interest is now emerging from elsewhere.

Staying in Spain could be an option for the winger who Leeds signed from Almeria in 2024, but the price will have to be right for Leeds to agree a deal.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “I don’t think he has a long term future at Elland Road right now. He’s done quite well during his loan spell with Valencia.

“They’re probably holding out for around £10million for Ramazani, which right now might be a bit too steep for Valencia.

“I’m sure there’ll be other clubs who’ll be keeping tabs on the Belgian because of what he’s done in Spain.

“But yeah, like as we said, I don’t see how he could come back and win his place back in the Leeds side under Daniel Farke.

“They were able to cope with that in this season so I don’t think with Leeds probably planning for life in the Premier League next season and probably adding to their squad.

“I don’t see how he’ll be able to break back into Daniel Farke’s plans.”

Ramazani exit to be followed by fellow Leeds loanee

Ramazani may not be the only on-loan star set for a permanent move away from Elland Road this summer, as he could be followed by Mateo Joseph.

The 22-year-old has spent the season on loan at Mallorca, but recently had his season ended after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

Football Insider revealed earlier last month that Leeds are ready to sanction Joseph’s exit as he no longer has a role to play in the squad under Farke.

While his injury may make a summer sale difficult for Leeds to pull off, he is not expected to have any long-term future at Elland Road and will eventually be allowed to leave.

Farke is keen to reset his squad after a successful return to Premier League football, with fringe players and out-of-favour loanees likely to be first out of the door.
