Sources: Michael Duff close to being appointed Bradford City manager
Michael Duff is set to be offered the Bradford City manager's job as he prepares to succeed Graham Alexander, sources have told Football Insider.
The former Wycombe Wanderers boss is understood to have impressed in his interviews with the Bantams' chiefs.
He was relieved of his duties at Adams Park last month following a five-game winless start to the League One season.
Bradford are on the hunt for a new boss after Alexander was poached by his former club Preston North End last week.
Duff is now in the frame to succeed him at the League One leaders, with promotion to the Championship a clear aim this season.
The 48-year-old led Cheltenham Town to the League Two title in 2021 and previously impressed in the third-tier as Barnsley boss.
Michael Duff chosen to succeed Graham Alexander at Bradford
Alexander ended a near-three-year stint as Bradford manager last week by joining Preston to succeed Paul Heckingbottom after he was sacked with the club struggling in the second tier.
The 54-year-old led the Bantams to promotion from League Two in 2025 and they finished fourth in League One last season.
Duff has similar credit in the bank elsewhere, having taken Cheltenham to the third tier and Barnsley into the League One play-off final before he was poached by Swansea City in June 2023.
Tough spells in South Wales and at Huddersfield Town followed before he impressed at the helm of Wycombe last season by leading them away from a relegation battle to an 11th-placed finish.
He will now be entrusted with the reins at Valley Parade as Bradford look to return to the second tier for the first time since 2003-04.
League One clubs keen on The New Saints star Zach Nolan
Elsewhere in the third tier, sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that several League One and Two sides are keen on signing Irish TNS full-back Nolan.
He joined the Welsh club in the summer after leaving Ballymena United at the end of last season.
Nolan spent the summer of 2025 on trial at Lincoln City, and has remained on the radar of numerous EFL clubs over the last 12 months.
He could be approached by a club in the same league as Bradford in the January window if he keeps impressing in Wales.
