Sources: Huddersfield in advanced talks over Bojan Radulovic deal

Huddersfield Town are on the verge of sealing a new contract for striker Bojan Radulovic, sources have told Football Insider.

The Terriers have been working on a deal for the 26-year-old and are now in advanced talks with the player and his agent over an imminent extension.

Radulovic's current contract had been due to expire in West Yorkshire next summer, but he is now rapidly closing in on an extension.

Martin Drury's side have made an impressive start to the new League One season, and Radulovic has chipped in with two goals and one assist from his opening six games.

Huddersfield had been the third tier's final remaining team with an unbeaten record until they were beaten away at Bromley last weekend, a game that Radulovic was not involved in.

Nevertheless, the West Yorkshire outfit are happy with the impact that the frontman has made, and are now keen to extend his stay as quickly as possible.

Bojan Radulovic proving his worth at Huddersfield

Radulovic first joined Huddersfield from Finnish side HJK Helsinki back in January 2024, but it took a while for him to settle into the style of English football.

The Serbian netted just two goals during his first 12 months for the Terriers, before being sent out on loan to Dutch outfit Fortuna Sittard.

However, he has begun to prove his worth at Huddersfield since the start of last season, and he ended last term with eight goals and five assists from just 23 games in League One.

The frontman has picked up where he left off this time around, and has been an influential figure in the strong start from Drury's men.

That has forced the club to kick into action and secure his long-term future, which they are now growing ever closer to doing.

Radulovic battling Joe Taylor for minutes

Football Insider revealed at the start of September that Joe Taylor was set to earn a call-up to the senior Wales squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures.

Confirmation of the Huddersfield man's selection has since been confirmed, after an impressive start to the season.

Taylor and Radulovic would ordinarily be competing for minutes at the top of the pitch, but Drury's decision to hand Taylor a slightly deeper role has proven to be an inspired one so far.

The boss has been able to fit both frontmen into the team on a regular basis so far, and it has proven fruitful at the start of the season.
