Sources: Huddersfield Town, Rotherham United and Shrewsbury Town explore Dylan Kadji deals
Huddersfield Town, Rotherham United and Shrewsbury Town are all working on moves for Wealdstone midfielder Dylan Kadji, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old starred for the Stones in the National League last term and is set to have the chance of a move to the EFL on the table this summer.
Shrewsbury and Rotherham are both working on deals to take the youngster to League Two, while Huddersfield are exploring a move as they look to hand him a chance at League One level.
Kadji caught the eye with some impressive performances in 2025-26, and now has a whole host of clubs lining up moves for him this summer.
The former Bristol City academy starlet made 37 appearances in the National League last term, and notched two goals and four assists.
Kadji was a commanding presence for Wealdstone in the middle of the park, as Gary Waddock's side finished well clear of any relegation trouble.
Dylan Kadji set for second chance in the EFL
Several young players have had to drop into non-league to rebuild their careers of late, and Kadji is another who fits that mould.
He made four senior appearances for Bristol City, including two in the Championship back in 2022-23, before being released by his boyhood club in the summer of 2024.
He has since worked his way back up the pyramid with spells at sixth-tier Weston-super-Mare and now fifth-tier Wealdstone.
Kadji's performances have earned him a queue of admirers in the Football League, where he already has experience in the basement tier.
Loan spells with Swindon Town and Forest Green Rovers both came before his departure from Ashton Gate.
Kadji has had to bide his time to force his way onto the radar of EFL clubs once again, but he now appears set to get his big chance to impress next season.
Huddersfield lead race to sign Premier League midfielder
Football Insider revealed last week that Huddersfield are currently at the front of the queue to sign young Brentford midfielder Ethan Brierley.
The 22-year-old is into the final year of his contract with the Premier League outfit, with Huddersfield currently leading the race from several other EFL clubs.
Brierley impressed during a loan spell with Exeter City last term, and could now move to League One on a permanent basis soon.
He and Kadji are both part of Huddersfield's long-term plans to strengthen in the middle, with both players tipped for big futures in the game.
