Leeds can seal 'perfect' Winks signing after Tottenham stance revealed - Robinson
Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks would be the “perfect signing” for Leeds United this summer because of his versatility, according to Paul Robinson.
However, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former goalkeeper of both clubs claimed it would be “naive” and “short-sighted” of Spurs to let him go.
Football Insider revealed last week (9 June) that new sporting director Fabio Paratici has told Winks the club will listen to offers for him in this window.
Spurs value the centre-midfielder, who has three years remaining on his contract in north London, at around £30million.
Leeds are understood to be in the market for a midfielder this summer to provide cover and competition for Kalvin Phillips.
Robinson claimed the “fabulous” Winks could be the answer at Elland Road.

“I’m a big fan of Harry Winks,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“I think he’s a fabulous player. He is versatile and can play anywhere across the midfield.
“I maintain that I would love to see him at Leeds. He would be the perfect signing because he can play in the Kalvin Phillips role as well as further forward. He fits the system.
“Let’s not forget that he has been linked with Manchester City as well. Whoever gets Harry Winks this year will be getting a very strong addition to their squad.
“Spurs would be naive to let him go. He is so versatile and brings a lot to the team. Maybe it is the player that wants to go but I think Spurs would be short-sighted and naive to let him go this summer.”
