Pontus Jansson and Chris Wood have been named in the EFL Team of the Year after starring in Leeds’ promotion chase under manager Garry Monk.
The duo have proved instrumental in Leeds’ side this season, as the Yorkshire giants remain in fifth place in the Championship following Saturday’s 3-0 win over Preston.
The EFL announced the side on their official Twitter account after it was named at the awards evening in London, alongside Newcastle’s Dwight Gayle and Brighton’s David Stockdale.

His form has been matched by Sweden international Jansson, who has shone at the back alongside Kyle Bartley following his season-long loan move from Serie A outfit Torino.
The former Malmo ace has signed a permanent three-year deal with the Elland Road club which will take effect from July 1, after keeping 12 clean sheets in his 31 league and cup appearances this season.
Leeds next face Newcastle on Good Friday at St. James’ Park, as they look to leapfrog Reading and Huddersfield into third place in the Championship play-off positions.
