This is why Leeds fans should not fear the loss of Taylor this month

Leeds fans should not fear the sale of Charlie Taylor this month because Gaetano Berardi is more than capable of replacing him.
Taylor has been heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road in January and Leeds fans have been sent into a frenzy at the possibility of losing their academy graduate.
The full-back has been a crucial member of Garry Monk’s first team this season but he has missed the last three games through a reported injury.
In his absence, Berardi has been solid and he has shown why Leeds fans must not lose hope even if Taylor does leave in the transfer window.
The 28-year-old has only made six appearances in the Championship this season and prior to his display against Brentford, his last game was the EFL Cup defeat against Liverpool.

However, in all eight appearances he has made in the 2016-17 season, Berardi has demonstrated why he is more than capable of filling Taylor’s shoes.
Berardi, who is predominantly a right-back, has filled in for Taylor in the left-back position but he has adapted to the new role without difficulty.
His performances in recent matches suggest Monk can rely on Berardi as a long-term replacement for Taylor and not just as short-term cover.
The Swiss was a regular last season and while Taylor clearly has huge ability, Berardi will be a suitable replacement and can still help Leeds achieve a play-off spot.
If Leeds gain promotion to the Premier League, Monk may need to upgrade but in the meantime, Berardi is good enough to replace Taylor because he is experienced and consistent.
As well as Berardi, emerging left-back Tyler Denton is also making leaps and bounds and the youngster will hope to be given an opportunity after scoring the winning goal in his only EFL Cup appearance against Luton this season.
