Leeds fans on Twitter urge Radrizzani to sign available international midfielder

By Derek Smithson

Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley is set to leave the club at the end of the month – and Leeds fans have rallied on Twitter to urge owner Andrea Radrizzani to sign him.

The Premier League confirmed on their official website who will be released by all 20 top-flight clubs and Ledley was announced as one of the 11 players that will depart Selhurst Park.

The 30-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the month and he will be available to find a new club.

The Wales international enjoyed a three-year spell with Palace in the Premier league and also has experience with Celtic and Cardiff in the past.

Leeds fans believe that he would be a great addition at Elland Road next season and are hopeful they can compete for his signature.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Ledley is a vastly experienced central midfielder, but made just 21 appearances across all competitions last season for the Eagles.

He has carved out a successful club career and has also been a star on the international stage.

The combative midfielder helped Wales reach the Euro 2016 semi-finals by playing in every match and has 72 caps for his country.

Leeds are still yet to appoint a new manager and it’s unclear what signings they will look to make, but fans are certain that Ledley would be strong in the Championship.

In other Leeds transfer news, their first teamer is being eyed by seven Premier League clubs.
