Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to plead with manager Paul Heckingbottom to give striker Sam Dalby his debut for the club.

The 18-year-old, who signed from Leyton Orient in January made 16 appearances in League Two in the first half of the season, and has impressed with the Leeds Under-23s.

Now the fans want to see if he's got enough to challenge for a first-team spot, with one fan saying he wanted the youngster to start and Jay-Roy Grot left at home.

Another said that Leeds' current strikers are not good enough and that Heckingbottom had to give the youngsters a chance.

Leeds' opponents today are manager Heckingbottom's former side and he's already come out and said that he doesn't want them to go down.

As it stands they're in the bottom three, but they have a game in hand over Birmingham and Bolton who are two points ahead of them.

A loss for Leeds, however, could prove fatal for Heckingbottom after he's only won two games in 13 matches since he joined.
