Leeds fans react on Twitter to Harry Kewell sacking

By Harvey Byrne

Leeds fans have taken the opportunity to slam former attacker Harry Kewell after he was sacked from his role as the Under-23s manager at Watford.

The Daily Mail have reported on Thursday evening that the now 38-year-old is set to leave the Hornets’ youth team with immediate effect after a poor run of form which has seen them win just twice since October.

Now, Kewell has a big reputation in England following his playing career which saw him play for two of the biggest clubs in the country in Leeds and Liverpool.

However, his relationship with the Yorkshire giants soured on his departure from the club as he lashed out against the staff and his ex-teammates before heading to Merseyside in a £5million deal.

The former Australia international then received further criticism from the Leeds support for joining Turkish side Galatasary, the team the club met in the UEFA Cup in 2000 when two fans sadly lost their lives in a violent attack.

Now, Leeds fans have rejoiced on social media with the news that Kewell has lost his job in charge of the Premier League outfit’s young team.

A number of supporters used asterisked expletives to describe the Australian, while another simply stated “Judas.”
