Frank Mulhern has joined non-league side Southport on a three-month youth loan from Leeds – and fans have taken to Twitter to wish him all the best.
The Yorkshire giants revealed on their official Twitter account that the young forward, 19, has completed a move from Elland Road to the non-league outfit.
Mulhern has signed for the National League side until January on a youth loan deal.

Leeds staff have spoken highly in recent times of Mulhern, who was awarded a scholarship at Leeds in 2013 and has since gone on to represent the Republic of Ireland at the UEFA Under-18 Championships in 2015, where he netted two goals.
The teenager also features regularly for Leeds’ Under-23s side.

Fans have been calling for Mulhern to get a chance in Garry Monk’s side in recent weeks, but are pleased that the move to Southport will provide him with regular game time at a senior level.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Great for Mulhern to get first team action. BPF should also head out on loan if we have 4 keepers at the club. #lufc

Several days ago Leeds boss Garry Monk told the Daily Mirror: “Frank has got a massive future. He is a young boy in a man’s body already, and he’s got a great touch.
“The Championship is tough and demanding, but Frank has the physical attributes to handle it and he can flourish, given a chance.”
Leeds Under-23a coach Jason Blunt also singled out Mulhern for praise last week following their recent game against Charlton.
“He’s looking more athletic and powerful, and he’s a talented boy who obviously he knows where the back of the net is,” said Blunt, as quoted by the Southport website.
Monk is building a young, strong crop of players in his first season in charge at the Championship club.
Eleven senior players were recruited in the summer, with all aged 27 or under bar Rob Green, 36, and Pablo Hernandez, 31.
In other Leeds transfer news, the Whites have made an approach for Nottingham Forest centre-back Jack Hobbs.
