Leeds and Aston Villa fans react to Huddersfield win against Norwich

By Amir Mir

Leeds and Aston Villa supporters reacted on Twitter after Huddersfield beat Norwich 3-0 in the Championship on Wednesday night.

After a number of costly defeats in recent weeks, the Terriers managed to turn their form around and beat their managerless opponents, thanks to three second-half goals.

Elias Kachunga opened the scoring after 66 minutes, with Aaron Mooy and Nahki Wells adding a further two more goals within the space of seven minutes to ensure the points were sealed.

The result means that David Wagner’s side move up to third in the table where they are now on 74 points from their 39 matches, five points ahead of Leeds, who have played a game extra.

The Whites supporters were slating the number of home supporters that turned up for the weekend game.

The Elland Road faithful were criticising their small support despite the fact that they are fighting for promotion to the Premier League.

By contrast, Villa fans were pretty pleased to see Norwich, who are one place above them in the table, drop points away from home.

Steve Bruce’s side are nine points off sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday in the table as they are looking to make a late push for the top six after winning seven out of their last eight games.

Villa travel to Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon, knowing they can move up to ninth if other results go their way.
