Leeds handed major Llorente boost after 'perfect' development - pundit
Alan Hutton has insisted Leeds United have been handed a major boost with Diego Llorente back to full fitness.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland defender compared the Whites’ defensive woes to those at Rangers this season.
Both the Yorkshire and Glasgow giants have had key players missing from defence through injury, illness or suspension this term.
Llorente, 28, sat out two Premier League games before returning to the starting XI against Watford.
He made an immediate impact at both ends of the pitch, scoring the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win.
It was also the first clean sheet Leeds have kept in the league this season.

Hutton admitted Marcelo Bielsa’s men had struggled with a constantly changing defence.
He insisted Llorente and club captain Liam Cooper are “rocks” the Whites can build upon at the back.
“I think they’re just like Rangers in the sense of the fact they’ve had to make a lot of changes,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“Even last season, they had injuries and the likes of Ayling were playing centre-half. I think at one stage they had four full-backs in the back four, which is not ideal.
“The likes of Llorente coming back in, strong performances, Cooper the same. The captain being there, strong performances, you can build off that.
“They’re the rocks at the back, if you want. Leeds are very open at times, they go man-for-man marking and it can be a bit chaotic.
“It must be difficult as a defender. However, clean sheet, three points, perfect weekend.”
Llorente has played just three times in the league this season.
Saturday’s win was Leeds’ first of the new campaign.
