Leeds United have been installed as the joint-favourites to re-sign midfielder Adam Clayton from Championship rivals Middlesbrough, according to the latest bookmakers odds.
BetVictor have priced Leeds and Sheffield United as the joint-favourites to sign the 28-year-old before the end of the January transfer window at 2/1.
Championship promotion chasers Cardiff (10/1) and Aston Villa (10/1) are also in the running to sign the player, who has fallen out of favour at the Riverside Stadium.

Football Insider verdict:
Clayton would be a welcome addition to the Leeds midfield with his years of Championship experience. He would also be a popular signing with the Whites fans having spent two seasons at Elland Road between 2010 and 2012 before leaving to join Huddersfield. Clayton has featured 14 times for Middlesbrough in all competitions this season, but has made just one Championship appearance since mid-October, after falling out of favour under former manager Garry Monk. He has not been named in the squad at all since the 2-1 defeat at Bristol City on December 2, although things may change under new boss Tony Pulis, who took charge on Boxing Day. However, if things do not change, Clayton may want to leave the Riverside to secure more first-team football and Leeds could prove to be a good move for the midfielder.
