Leeds United’s odds to sign Leicester forward Leonardo Ulloa have been slashed over the last 24 hours, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
SkyBet now have the Championship club priced at 6/1 second-favourites to sign Ulloa, 31, before the end of this month.
On Tuesday, Leeds were 9/1 to sign the Argentine centre-forward, however Aston Villa still appear to be in pole position to snap up the ex-Brighton striker at 10/11.
Sunderland (12/1) are also in the running to sign Ulloa, but it appears that Villa and Leeds are the two most likely clubs to sign the Leicester fringe player.
Ulloa signed for the Foxes in 2014 in an £8million switch from Brighton – a club record for the East Midlands club at the time.
He was a regular feature in the first-team until last season after Leicester spent big on improving the squad in the wake of winning the 2015/16 Premier League title.
This campaign, Ulloa has made just six appearances in all competitions for the senior squad, failing to score in any of them.
Leeds could perhaps do with a new centre-forward this month with Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Jay-Roy Grot failing to reach the exceptions set of them after signing in the summer.
Kemar Roofe has become Thomas Christiansen’s main striker in recent weeks, but the ex-West Brom and Oxford attacker has clear issues with consistency.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are ready to launch a bid for this Rangers star and contract talks are underway.
