Phillips backs Leeds to sign 'electric' Traore after £40m reveal
Adama Traore is an “electric” footballer and would be a stellar signing for Leeds United.
That is according to ex-Premier League goalscorer Kevin Phillips, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Eurosport reported on 15th June that the Whites are continuing to show an interest in the 25-year-old.
It is claimed that Leeds will look to pay around £40million for the lightning-fast winger whose contract expires in 2023.
There are some issues surrounding the Spaniard’s consistency, claims Phillips, but Traore would be a top signing for Leeds overall.
“I think it would be a good bit of business,” he told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.

“He didn’t have the season we expected last season after his form dipped. But for him to move on and have a fresh start, Leeds could be a great fit for him.
“The style of football that the manager plays always seems to get the best out of his players. With his electric pace, £40m sounds a lot but blimey, when he’s at it he’s so good.
“The only thing you worry about with him is consistency. There was a spell the season before last where he was consistently playing well.
“Maybe he can reignite his form. Any player who has the chance to go to Leeds, you’re going to consider it.
“It might be a little bit more than they want to pay but £40m sounds like the right kind of price.”
Traore featured 37 times in the Premier League for Wolves last season.
Those appearances yielded two goals and three assists.
