Bamford will be thrilled by Leeds source's 'massive' Lang transfer update - Paddy Kenny
Patrick Bamford will be thrilled if Leeds United make new additions to their forward line this summer.
That is according to ex-Whites goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking after Football Insider revealed on 12th June that Noa Lang is a concrete Leeds target and the latest from a club source is that preliminary talks over a deal have already taken place.
The 21-year-old Ajax striker spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan with Club Brugge where he scored 17 goals and supplied 11 assists in 38 matches.
The Dutchman can play either on the wing or as a centre-forward and fits the profile of attacker that Leeds are keen to add to their ranks.
Bamford meanwhile led the line in all 38 of Leeds’ Premier League matches last season and netted 17 goals in the process.
Kenny claims that the added competition and chance for the occasional rest that Lang would provide will be a big boost to Bamford.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “It will bring the best out of Bamford. Who doesn’t want competition?
“He ]Bamford] was unbelievable last season anyway. To achieve what he achieved with the goals and assists speaks for itself.
“He’ll be happy if they bring another striker in. It’s massive for Leeds, massive competition and it also gives him a breather every now and again.
“To play every game at that level is tough. It can only help if he gets a rest every now and again.”
Bamford signed for Leeds in 2018 and has turned out 110 times for the club.
Lang is a product of Ajax’s esteemed academy system and has made 14 senior appearances for the Dutch giants.
