Sources: Major update on Leeds bid to sign Lang as six deals lined up

Club Brugge sensation Noa Lang is a concrete target for Leeds United as they step up plans to bring in six new signings this summer, Football Insider understands.

Lang, 21, is on a shortlist of United forward targets capable of slotting into the first team next season and preliminary talks have been held over a deal.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the club will step up their pursuit of the Dutch flyer but face competition for his signature.

United are in the market for a a versatile forward in the 18-23 age bracket who can play out wide and down the middle, is quick and has an eye for goal.

Marcelo Bielsa has also sanctioned the club to work on deals for a new left-back, specialist central midfield cover for Kalvin Phillips, a back-up goalkeeper and potentially a centre-forward who can compete with Patrick Bamford.

Leeds are also set to convert Jack Harrison’s loan into a permanent transfer from Man City next month.

Football Insider revealed on 19th May that Lang was a firm target for Leeds after his outstanding campaign for Brugge star.

Lang has been on a season-long loan from Ajax but it has already been agreed the deal will be converted into a permanent one in July for around £6m.

However, that will not stop top clubs across Europe, including Leeds, trying to prise the Holland Under-21 international from Brugge.

During the 2020-21 campaign, Lang scored 17 goals and supplied 11 assists from 38 appearances in all competitions.
