Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Leeds United are a more attractive option than Rangers for Colombian sensation Santiago Moreno.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England striker claimed the pull of the Premier League outweighs that of competing in the Champions League.

As revealed by Football Insider, both Rangers and Leeds are keeping close tabs on Moreno, 21, ahead of the summer window.

The America de Cali player is a pacy forward and his playing style has been likened to that of Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane.

He has scored five goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances this season and is available for around £5million.

Asked which of Leeds and Rangers represent the most attractive option, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Champions League football is great but there’s a lot of teams from a lot of different countries around Europe who play in the Champions League.

“But the Premier League is the big one. If you’ve got the chance of coming to the Premier League to play, you choose that over most other countries, especially Scotland.

“With what Leeds are building too, it just makes sense for him to choose Leeds.”

The Whites confirmed a top-half finish with their 2-0 win over Southampton on Tuesday nights and they could finish within 10 points of the top-four.

Rangers won the Scottish Premiership title by a whopping 25 points and did not lose a single league game all season.

They secured qualification for next season’s Champions League and will enter the competition at the third qualifying round, four games away from the group stages.

In other news, Leeds United have scheduled talks with a 27 goal/assist forward after a £6million rival deal agreed.
