Kieran Maguire: Leeds have 'two primary targets' after £20m news confirmed
Leeds United will be working hard to match the success of Leicester City and Everton in the commercial department.
So says finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the £20million commercial income Leeds earned in 2020-21.
The West Yorkshire club revealed their commercial success in their annual accounts, posted to Companies House on Wednesday (6 April).
The Whites posted an operating profit of £25million for the season, only the second Premier League side to do so.
New sponsorship deals with Adidas and SBOTOP played a major role in their healthy bottom line.
Leeds will now be looking to go one further and challenge some of the most commercially successful sides in the Premier League, claims Maguire.

“Without a doubt, it gives them better spending power,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“In their first season in the Premier League, they moved straight into the top half in terms of commercial revenue.
“Normally, it takes more time to build the brand. That is indicative of the size of the club.
“Leeds will have Everton and Leicester in their sights because only they earn more than Leeds commercially besides the ‘big six’.
“The ‘big six’ are far ahead of everyone else, so they will be the primary targets they are focusing on next.”
Leeds are in action against Watford tomorrow (9 April).
Jesse Marsch’s side are currently 16th in the Premier League with seven games left to play.
