Medical scheduled: Attacker set to join Leeds after personal terms agreed - Sources
Manchester City winger Ian Poveda is set to undergo a Leeds United medical this week and complete a permanent transfer, Football Insider understands.
The 19-year-old attacker has been lined up by the Championship promotion hopefuls to replace Jack Clarke after he was recalled by Tottenham from his Elland Road loan.
A Leeds source has told Football Insider the club are in the final stages of finalising a deal with City for Poveda and he is set to make the short journey to west Yorkshire in the coming days to seal the formalities.
He will undergo a medical and put pen to paper on a long-term contract after agreeing personal terms with the Yorkshire giants.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa revealed at his media briefing last week that he wanted a new wide player to replace Clarke.
The Leeds academy product spent the first half of the campaign back at the club after signing for Tottenham last summer.

But he made only three appearances, two of which came in the League Cup, and the Premier League giants took advantage of a recall clause in his loan deal.
Poveda is the same age as Clarke and has been targeted by Leeds after they scouted him extensively last year.
His contract at Man City is due to expire at the end of the season and he is set to leave the club after three-and-a-half years.
Born in London to Colombian parents, Poveda was on Barcelona’s books as a youth but he has been capped by England at Under-20 level.
