Pundit makes 'frightening' Bamford claim after what he's heard from Leeds
Patrick Bamford’s intelligence is “frightening” and it is no surprise to see he has a strong relationship with Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa.
So says ex-Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about recent remarks made by the injured Elland Road striker.
Asked by Joe Media on 8 November what three words he would use to describe Bielsa, Bamford replied: “Meticulous, passionate, endearing.”
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a renaissance in the second half of his career under the legendary Argentinian manager.
He netted 33 goals league across the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons and won his first England cap earlier this year.
Bamford registered one goal and three assists in his first six games this term but has been sidelined with an ankle injury since September.

Kenny noted Bamford’s intelligence and saluted the connection he clearly has with his manager.
“The words he’s used there are frightening,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“It shows the upbringing he’s had. He’s a smart guy. Everyone seems to have nice things to say about him.
I don’t think anybody will have a bad word to say about Bielsa either, especially Bamford. He will appreciate what he’s done for his career.
“He was struggling at Leeds at first but he has totally turned that around and he’s one of their key players now. The past two seasons, he’s been brilliant.
“They are struggling for goals at the moment with him out of the team. That just shows you how important he is.”
