Brenden Aaronson makes decision about leaving Leeds after deal completed
Brenden Aaronson is keen to stay and for his place in the Leeds team amid uncertainty around his contract situation this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The American playmaker is into the final year of his Leeds contract as it stands, which expires in June 2027.
He is yet to hold talks with the Whites' hierarchy over penning fresh terms, despite being a key man for Daniel Farke last season.
Aaronson helped fire Leeds to the Premier League then went on to register nine goal contributions in 37 top-flight matches.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, he wants to stay at Elland Road this summer and earn a new deal by continuing to impress in the upcoming campaign.
Farke has moved to bolster his options in attacking midfield with the addition of Harry Wilson, with further signings lined up before the close of the transfer window.

Julian Brandt was an attacking target for the Whites, but he put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Ajax on Friday.
Aaronson's future at the club is in doubt due to his contract situation, but he remains keen to stick around and prove his worth in 2026-27.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "I'm sure (contract) talks will be ramping up over the next few weeks. Harry Wilson has arrived, so that increases the attacking competition in Farke's starting lineup.
"Aaronson, I'm sure, will be keen to stay and fight for his place no matter what happens, as he has done in the past; he has got his head down and worked his way back into the plans."
Leeds eyeing Leo Scienza move as Southampton stand firm
Leeds' desire to add more impetus in the final third has seen them linked with a move for Southampton star Scienza.
The Brazilian forward registered seven goals and nine assists in 39 Championship appearances last season before they were thrown out of the play-offs.
Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Leeds retain an interest in Scienza but will have to fork out around £25million for his services in the next month.
