Leeds have rejected Lukas Nmecha offers as Daniel Farke plan revealed
Leeds are set to hold talks with Lukas Nmecha about his future plans in the coming months as he nears the end of his contract, sources have told Football Insider.
Nmecha's Whites contract is currently set to expire in June 2027 after he signed a two-year deal upon arrival as a free agent.
The versatile forward joined Leeds after running down his Wolfsburg contract, and could make a similar move next summer.
He has been playing second fiddle to Dominic Calvert-Lewin over the last 12 months, starting just 10 Premier League games in his debut season at the club.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Leeds want to gauge Nmecha's thoughts on potentially signing a new deal in the coming weeks and months.
The 27-year-old may need better assurances of regular game time to commit his long-term future to the club.
Lukas Nmecha set for preliminary Leeds contract talks
Nmecha has impressed with the Elland Road club, after registering 10 goal contributions in 37 appearances and 15 starts last season.
Leeds reportedly knocked back interest in his services from Wrexham during the summer window, with Daniel Farke keen to retain his services as contract talks are planned.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Leeds are obviously happy with Nmecha. They kept hold of him in the summer despite some interest in his services. He's come off the bench in two league games and started both Carabao Cup games as well, but now that Leeds are out of that, there is going to be fewer opportunities for him to gain more regular minutes.
"His contract’s up in the summer, and I'm sure Leeds will want to discuss things with Nmecha and see what his thoughts and plans are as well."

Leeds struck another free transfer following the end of last term, as Wilson joined following his exit from Fulham.
The Wales star has struggled for form in the early stages of his Whites career, with just one start in three league games and one goal contribution in his first five appearances of the campaign.
