Leeds installed as bookies odds-on favourites to complete Julian Brandt move
Leeds United are now the bookies' odds-on favourites to be Julian Brandt's next club as they eye his services on a free transfer.
Daniel Farke is looking to oversee an ambitious transfer window this summer as Leeds look to push to the next level in the Premier League.
The Whites successfully survived relegation in their first season back in the top flight and will look to improve on a 14th-placed finish in 2026-27.
Harry Wilson has arrived to bolster their attacking ranks, while Leeds have invested a sizeable fee to sign Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo.
Brandt is believed to be a top target for the Whites this summer after he left Borussia Dortmund at the end of his contract last month.
The 30-year-old German midfielder also has interest from La Liga and the Eredivisie, but Leeds are still leading the race for his signature as it stands.
Leeds clear odds-on favourites to land Julian Brandt ahead of strong competition
Brandt mutually agreed to leave Dortmund in March before the end of his seventh campaign at the club.
He registered 57 goals and 70 assists in 307 appearances for the club and was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season for both the 2018–19 and 2022–23 campaigns.
The versatile attacking midfielder is keen to explore a new challenge and harbours ambitions of playing in the Premier League, with sources telling Football Insider that Farke has held talks with Brandt at Leeds' Thorp Arch training ground.
Two of the UK's top bookmakers have priced up odds on Brandt's next club, and despite interest from across Europe, they are each heavily backing the Whites to agree a deal as clear 8/15 favourites.
Which other clubs are keen on Brandt?
Dutch giants Ajax have also reportedly made an offer to Brandt's representatives, and they come in as second-favourites at odds of 6/1.
Spurs are also believed to be in the running, at 7/1 odds, having held a long-term interest in the German international.
Galatasaray and Newcastle are each priced at 8/1, while Aston Villa have also been included in the running for his signature at 9/1 odds.
Recent reports have claimed that Real Sociedad are making a push to sign Brandt too, but their odds are yet to be priced up by a bookmaker.
