Leeds make Tarik Muharemovic sale stance clear
Tarik Muharemovic is not for sale as Leeds prepare to reject any potential approaches for his services in January, sources have told Football Insider.
Muharemovic is attracting transfer interest at home and abroad after a superb start to life at Elland Road.
The 23-year-old has shone for Leeds in the first few weeks of this campaign following a £34million move from Sassuolo.
He has been a mainstay at the back for Daniel Farke and is already being linked with a move away from the club.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Leeds have no plans to cash in on Muharemovic midway through his debut Premier League season.
The Whites will not entertain any offers for his services even if they are able to turn a big profit after just six months.
Tarik Muharemovic set for Leeds stay despite ongoing interest
Barcelona and Inter Milan are just two of the top European clubs believed to be tracking Muharemovic's progress at Leeds.
They are not making any plans to sell him in the next window, however, with the Bosnian international under contract until 2031.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "I don't think Leeds are even thinking about what it might take to get him out or to let him leave Elland Road.
"He's played every minute so far for Leeds, and he's popped up with a goal and an assist, so he's taken to life in the Premier League very well. Obviously Leeds are very happy with his signing as well. They're under no pressure to sell, they don't want to sell, and I'm sure they'll be looking to keep hold of Muharemovic for the long term."
Muharemovic has been impressing for Bosnia too
Interest in the 23-year-old is only likely to increase as he continues to shine at international level, as well as for Leeds.
Muharemovic scored for his country against Romania last week, and followed that up with a strong showing in their 1-1 draw against Sweden on Friday.
The Bosnia star made the joint-most defensive contributions (7) in their Nations League clash, while he had more touches (102) than any player and completed the joint-most passes (81).
Muharemovic also won two of his three ground and aerial duels respectively, with his fine start to the season only continuing away from Elland Road.
