Sources: Premier League club place Leeds star Tarik Muharemovic top of shortlist

The Premier League's top clubs have placed Leeds star Tarik Muharemovic on their respective transfer shortlists, sources have told Football Insider.

Muharemovic arrived at Elland Road for around £34million from Sassuolo in the summer after an impressive season in Serie A.

The 23-year-old also featured at the World Cup for Bosnia & Herzegovina before securing his big Premier League move.

He has started excellently at Leeds under Daniel Farke, forming a key part of their impressive back three.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Muharemovic's fine early-season form has already alerted other bigger Premier League clubs to his potential availability in future windows.

He picked up Leeds' Player of the Month award for August and was named as their Player of the Match in the final game before the international break against Crystal Palace.

Tarik Muharemovic on top clubs' radars after strong Leeds start

Muharemovic has been linked to the likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan in recent weeks after a superb start to life at Elland Road.

The 23-year-old is unlikely to move on in January, but interest in his services at home and abroad could heat up towards the end of the campaign.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "I'm sure there are clubs looking at him. He's only joined in the summer from Sassuolo and he's had a massive impact at Elland Road straight away. If he continues to impress, obviously top clubs will continue to look at him, and everything else, but Leeds are pretty relaxed on all this."

Muharemovic's international exploits prove his quality

Muharemovic has not only shone for Leeds this season, with two strong performances for Bosnia in the current international break.

He played 90 minutes in a valuable 0-0 away draw against Poland last Friday, then scored in their 4-2 win over Romania on Monday.

Muharemovic climbed highest from a corner to make it 2-0 in their Nations League clash and made the most defensive contributions (17) of any player on the pitch.

He also completed 36 passes and won three aerial duels from as many attempts to further prove his quality on the international stage.
