Leeds should strike new deal for divisive figure after finalising Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle contracts
Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle are the latest stars to put pen to paper on a new deal ahead of Leeds United's 2026-27 campaign.
Leeds have secured the defensive duo until the summer of 2030, and supporters will be hoping that some of his teammates follow suit.
It has certainly been an exciting summer window at Elland Road, with deals done for Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic, James Trafford and Nico Elvedi.
The Whites have gotten rid of several players as well, including Joel Piroe, Joe Gelhardt, Max Wober and Jack Harrison, all deals which were needed.
There could be even more business done before the transfer window slams shut, but it would appear that in-house deals are being prioritised now.
Rodon and Bogle have tied down their futures at Elland Road, and there are several of his teammates who should be considered for new deals as well.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Willy Gnonto and Ao Tanaka will all see their contracts expire in the summer of 2028, if nothing changes.
There is one far more important player whose future needs to be addressed first, and that's USA international Brenden Aaronson.
A player who often divides opinion at Elland Road, certainly after jumping ship following Leeds' relegation in 2023, will see his contract expire at the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
Last season, with four goals and five assists, only Calvert-Lewin notched more goal contributions in an exciting Premier League campaign [FotMob].
He topped the list for big chances created, fourth for Expected Goals (xG), third for successful dribbles per 90 and fourth for possession won in the final third.
Whatever your opinion of Aaronson, nobody can deny his incredible workrate and increasing output. He clearly deserves a new contract.
What have Leeds got planned for Brenden Aaronson?
Back at the start of August, Football Insider revealed that Leeds were planning to open talks with the 25-year-old over a new deal.
Rumours have since gone cold, though, but Football Insider understood that the player wanted to stay and fight for his place at Elland Road.
The latest reveal, however, is that if Aaronson can't strike a deal behind the scenes, the club may have no choice but to consider a sale before his contract expires.
That would be a massive shame, given how he's managed to win back to the fans. But football is a cut-throat sport where absolutely anything can happen.
