Sources: Leeds make new Dominic Calvert-Lewin transfer plan
Leeds United have no plans to entertain offers for Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the near future, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to the season, ahead of the clash with Crystal Palace on 20 September, against whom he has scored more goals than any other opponent.
He has once again proven his worth in Daniel Farke's side and any suggestions of a departure will be quickly dismissed by the club ahead of the 2027 transfer windows.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Calvert-Lewin is a crucial part of Leeds' long-term plans and they are under no pressure to sell.
So far this season, the striker has scored four goals in six games across all compeititons and earned himself a place in Thomas Tuchel's England squad ahead of the international break.
That form has led to speculation about his future, and even links with moves to the likes of Man United, but it is highly unlikely he will be allowed to leave Leeds.
How do Leeds feel about selling Dominic Calvert-Lewin?
Football Insider revealed on 19 September that Leeds were left unhappy with suggestions that Calvert-Lewin could move on after his strong start to the new season.
This comes after former Man United striker Michael Owen tipped the England international to make a move to Old Trafford or to a "bigger team" than Leeds.
Calvert-Lewin's outstanding form under Farke looks set to continue, and with no plans to let him move on, he will remain a key part of their plans for the future.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Leeds gave Calvert-Lewin the chance to join on a free transfer when he left Everton, and he's really repaid them for that.
"He's been outstanding for them since last season, and has enjoyed a strong start to the new season and has proven a real handfull for Premier League defences again.
"Leeds are extremely happy with Calvert-Lewin and how he's progressed since he made the switch to Elland Road last summer.
"He's under contract until 2028, and Leeds are relaxed about the whole situation, they are not expecting to lose Calvert-Lewin at any stage in the near future."
What do Leeds have planned for Calvert-Lewin?
Leeds are planning to deter any interest in Calvert-Lewin ahead of the 2027 transfer windows, as a result of what has been a strong start to the season at Elland Road.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed an impressive run of form since last season, and scored twice in Leeds' 4-1 win against Newcastle last time out, earning high praise.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness told Football Insider in May that Leeds could offer Calvert-Lewin a new contract to tie down his long-term future to their cause.
The striker's current contract is set to run until 2028, but they could opt to reward him for his fine form while also deterring any potential interest.
This comes after a number of clubs showed an interest in Calvert-Lewin before his move to Leeds, with the likes of Man United, Newcastle and Aston Villa among his suitors.
