Stefan Borson shares Leeds verdict after Companies House paperwork filed
Andreas Dracopoulos is unlikely to make a noticeable difference behind the scenes after his Leeds United arrival was confirmed.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that Dracopoulos is nothing more than a devoted fan, who wants to invest further.
All the way back in March, Leeds confirmed that the investor had joined the board of directors, but it hadn't been officially registered until now.
The Whites have now filed the appropriate paperwork with Companies House to confirm his appointment, sparking questions of what that could mean for the club.
Dracopoulos is unlikely to be a name massively well-known by the fanbase at Elland Road, and he won't much bigger of an impact from now on either.
Having been involved with the club as a three per cent stakeholder since 2001, his connection with Leeds is now being recognised officially.
Andreas Dracopoulos 'won't change anything'
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson does not believe that anything will change behind the scenes after the latest addition.
"I doubt it will change anything behind the scenes. He's not going to be an executive. He's a wealthy guy who, as you say, has been involved before," he said.
"I think he's a fan more than anything. I think he probably wants to get back involved, put some money in, get himself a seat on the board.
"I wouldn't think he's going to be involved at all from an executive perspective. It's probably good for some relationships and potentially bringing in some more new money if that's required over time.
"But I don't think on a day-to-day that it's going to be that dramatic or that the investment will be massively significant."
What's the latest on Daniel Farke?
The main talking point at Elland Road over the past few months has been Daniel Farke's future, with new contract talks in the works.
He was expected to put pen to paper during the last international break, but there is still no update on his extension at Elland Road.
Keith Wyness has told Football Insider that Farke will have no concerns over his side's reliance on set-pieces so far this season.
The Whites are currently sitting seventh in the Premier League table after seven games, with Sunderland up next on Sunday, 25 October.
