Sources: Leicester City 'expecting' three stars to leave in late exodus
Leicester City are expecting to lose Stephy Mavididi, Wout Faes and Woyo Coulibaly late in the window, sources have told Football Insider.
Mavididi, 28, is a target for a host of Championship clubs who are now plotting moves to lure him away before the close of the transfer window on 1 September.
The winger has a number of admirers in the second tier and has not been involved in either of Leicester's League One games against Notts County and Burton so far this season.
Mavididi's contract at the King Power Stadium is set to run until 2028, and the club still have control over his future, sources say he is expected to move on.
Defensive duo Faes and Coulibaly, meanwhile, are expected to leave the club before next week's deadline, with Leicester open to offers for the pair.
Neither the centre-back nor the right-back have featued for the Foxes since their relegation to League One, and they are ready to accept bids before the window closes.
Why are Leicester City allowing players to leave?
Mavididi, Faes and Coulibaly will not be the first names to leave Leicester this summer, having alraedy seen 15 players leave, notably including Abdul Fatawu and Jeremy Monga.
However, there are no plans for sales to slow down, with the Foxes not looking to keep players who have no intention of sticking around.
Russell Martin's side have endured a slow start to the season in League One, with a draw and a loss in their opening two games, and further concerns in the transfer window.
They are now looking to shift at least three more players in the coming days, and while they would be big name departures, plans are being put in place for their exits.
Mavididi in particular is attracting interest from Championship clubs, who are now lining up offers to temp him away from the Kind Power.
Clubs including promotion-chasing Middlesbrough and Wolves have maintained an interest in the winger throughout the summer, although it is unclear whether they will formalise their moves.
Which other players could leave Leicester?
Leicester City are now bracing for a busy end to the summer transfer window, with Mavididi, Faes and Coulibaly not the only players expecting to move on.
Football Insider revealed on 17 August that Lazio have made a formal offer to sign Lorenz Hutchinson and hope to agree terms before the window closes.
The 18-year-old has yet to make his senior debut for Leicester, but could already depart his boyhood club with an offer for a move to Italy on the table.
The young forward is very highly rated at the King Power Stadium, and now has interest from one of Serie A's top clubs as he looks increasingly likely to move on.
Hutchinson notched four goals and three assists from just 12 games in Premier League 2 last term, and also smashed 15 goals in 15 games in the U18 Premier League.
