Lazio have submitted an offer to sign Leicester City forward Lorenz Hutchinson, sources have told Football Insider.

The young forward is very highly rated at the King Power Stadium, and now has interest from one of Serie A's top clubs.

The 18-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for Leicester, but could already depart his boyhood club with an offer for a move to Italy on the table.

Leicester's response to the bid is yet to become clear, but several of their first-team stars have been linked with moves away after the club's relegation to League One.

Hutchinson is an England U18 international and has already dazzled for the East Midlands outfit as part of their youth setup.

He notched four goals and three assists from just 12 games in Premier League 2 last term, and also smashed 15 goals in 15 games in the U18 Premier League.

Leicester set for crucial decision over impressive starlet

Several of Leicester's most promising young stars are facing pivotal futures this summer, and Hutchinson is now the latest to have the chance of a move away.

The Foxes have already lost Jeremy Monga to Manchester City, while they remain in talks with Manchester United over the sale of Louis Page.

The former Premier League champions need to raise money amid significant losses following their relegation, and a number of sales have already taken place.

Lazio have now presented them with another chance to boost their coffers, now that they have submitted their opening offer for Hutchinson.

The forward is regarded as one of Leicester's top young talents, but they may yet be tempted to take the money now, rather than keeping hold of him and developing him.

Leicester to agree '£10m + add-ons' Louis Page deal with Man United

Louis Page fee revealed

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider last week that Leicester could stand to earn as much as £10million through a sale of Page to United.

The Scottish businessman believes that a series of add-on payments are likely to be used to sweeten the deal for the Foxes.

Page was named as the EFL's Apprentice of the Year after a promising season in the Championship last term, but was absent for his team's draw with Notts County in their opening league game last weekend.

The 18-year-old appears increasingly likely to make the move to Old Trafford, but it promises to be a lucrative deal for Leicester.
