Agreement in place since Monday, Levy jets overseas to wrap up Tottenham signing - report
By Harry Sykes
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has flown to France to wrap up the signing of Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier, according to a report.
L’Equipe claim that Spurs reached an agreement with the Ligue 1 giants on Monday to land the defender for a fee of around £23million.
It is said that Levy has been in Paris this week to formalise the deal with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique.
The long-standing Spurs chairman is concerned about the red tape holding up the transfer, which he is keen to conclude before next Thursday’s deadline.
L’Equipe report that Aurier will complete a move to White Hart Lane if he can officially prove he appealed against a convertible two-month prison sentence.

The Ivory Coast international will be signed as a replacement for England right-back Kyle Walker, who joined Manchester City earlier this summer.
Football Insider verdict:
This deal looks very likely to get over the line now. For the past week all the signs have been good, with personal terms almost agreed before negotiations began. There had been hints that negotiations had started but now it seems to be confirmed that Tottenham are in talks, and with both sides keen to do business it doesn’t seem like anything will stop the move going through. Aurier would be a top signing for Spurs, who have already strengthened what was an extremely tight defence. Pochettino knows the players he likes and who would fit the Tottenham system and Aurier is exactly that. At 23-years-old, the 39-time international is approaching his peak years and will be a real force in the future. Perhaps the only remaining hurdle is his off-the-pitch antics, with an appeal still hanging over his head for his charge of assaulting a police officer. That had visa implications, but with the transfer seemingly entering deep waters, Tottenham must not feel like that’s an issue.
