Paul Robinson has heaped praise on AS Monaco midfielder and Liverpool target Aurelien Tchouameni.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League goalkeeper said the 21-year-old is “an incredibly talented player” who would be well fitted to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
According to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein (7 January), the Reds are currently looking for a player who could strengthen their midfield.
Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni is said to be one of the names under consideration.
However, the Merseyside are expected to face competition from Manchester United for his signature.

“He’s one of the most highly rated young midfielders in Europe. He is an incredibly talented player who has a lot of attributes that would make him a good fit at Liverpool.
“I suspect there will be a lot of clubs after him at the end of the season.
“Liverpool never replaced [Georginio] Wijnaldum, a player who played about 80 per cent of the games last year. That’s not right.
“[James]Milner and [Jordan] Henderson are not getting any younger. It’s a position they need to address.
“Liverpool don’t sign in bulk but when they do sign, they sign quality. [Jude] Bellingham or Tchouameni would be a big coup for them.”
Tchouameni has made 29 appearances across all competitions this season.
He has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract in France.
