Liverpool could sign 'amazing' Henderson replacement after director reveals all on 'big coup' - pundit

Liverpool have identified the long-term successor to Jordan Henderson in Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, according to Kevin Campbell.

The former Premier League striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said a deal for the “amazing” 18-year-old would be “cheap” at any fee.

As reported by Sport1 (October 26th), Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl confirmed the Reds interest in Bellingham.

Bellingham is one of Europe’s most coveted talents and has contributed three goals and six assists in 17 appearances this season.

His contract at Dortmund expires in the summer of 2025.

Campbell is adamant Bellingham would jump at the chance to move to Anfield.

“It would be a big coup if they can get him but it will not be easy,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“His signature will be coveted by quite a few clubs I imagine. It might end up being an auction. The player might have to listen to all of the clubs and then chose between the highest bidders.

“It is going to be very interesting watching this one. I’m sure Bellingham would love to join Liverpool though.

“He is the long-term successor to Jordan Henderson. When you look at the Liverpool squad, that is what Bellingham would be.

“He is a player who could play at the top level for the next 10 years. Whatever fee it is, it’s cheap because he is already an amazing player at the age of 18.”
