Liverpool: Dominik Szoboszlai to play key role in signing Yan Diomande
Liverpool’s strong relationship with RB Leipzig is set to hand them an advantage in negotiations to sign star winger Yan Diomande this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Reds have signed several top talents from the Bundesliga side over the last few years, such as Dominik Szoboszlai, Ibrahima Konate and Naby Keita.
Legendary former boss, Jurgen Klopp, also currently holds a position as Red Bull’s Global Head of Football.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, the pre-existing relationship between the two clubs should help Liverpool in their quest to sign Diomande.
Mo Salah’s impending departure has seen Liverpool plan to sign a new winger replacement, with the Ivorian now identified as their top target.

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Diomande is keen on a move to Liverpool, and so agreeing personal terms should not be an issue.
The two clubs have dealt with each other on numerous occasions over the last few years, and Liverpool hope those past dealings will allow them to negotiate a lower fee for the 19-year-old this summer.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Liverpool do have a good relationship with Leipzig, having signed the likes of Szoboszlai and Konate over the years.
“They’ll be hoping that will give them an advantage in any negotiations for the winger.
“It’s not going to be a cheap deal. Leipzig don’t really want to lose him.”
Aston Villa set sights on Curtis Jones after ‘unhappy’ reveal
Numerous Liverpool stars are set to follow Salah out of Anfield this summer after such a disappointing campaign to follow their title win.
Sources have told Football Insider that homegrown midfielder Jones is displeased with his playing time this season and is eyeing a move away from the club in the months to come.
Aston Villa are one of the several Premier League clubs eyeing a move for his services, with some of their first team midfielders set to move on before next season.
