Yan Diomande emerges as No 1 Liverpool target to replace Mohamed Salah, he’s keen on Anfield move
Yan Diomande is Liverpool‘s main winger target ahead of the summer window as Mohamed Salah prepares to leave the club.
The Reds are looking to replace club legend Salah this summer as he departs for pastures new following nine successful years on Merseyside.
Diomande has emerged as an option to come into Arne Slot’s side in his place next season as he continues to impress at RB Leipzig.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, the 19-year-old is now at the top of Liverpool’s shortlist for winger signings.
He is also open to moving to the Premier League and so could be involved in Liverpool’s transfer plans this summer.

Diomande has registered 13 goals and seven assists in 32 appearances for Leipzig since joining from Leganes last summer.
He is set to go to the World Cup with the Ivory Coast this summer, so it remains to be seen if a deal could be completed before the tournament starts on 11 June.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Diomande has emerged as Liverpool’s primary target to replace Mohamed Salah in their side.
“Obviously he is a player that they have been tracking for a while now. He’s really been ripping it up in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig.
“I’m sure Diomande would be interested in a move to Liverpool if talks do progress between the two clubs.”
Liverpool tempted to cash in on Alexis Mac Allister this summer
Mac Allister’s performances have dropped off this season after he was so imperative to Liverpool’s Premier League title win last term.
The Argentina international has two years left on his current contract at Anfield, and talks over a new deal had previously been held but have now stalled ahead of the summer.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Liverpool could sell Mac Allister this summer as Real and Atletico Madrid each eye a move.
He is one of the first-team stars that Slot is content for the club to cash in on soon, with Curtis Jones and Joe Gomez also facing uncertain futures.
