Mbappe has emerged as one of the most highly rated youngster and is being tipped to be the first £100million-rated player.

The pacy striker enjoyed a breakout season in France with Monaco, scoring 26 goals and supplying 14 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.

He managed to help his side win the Ligue 1 title ahead of rivals Paris Saint-Germain and also got the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Football Insider verdict:

Mbappe seems destined for a switch to Real Madrid in a mega-money move, but it’s good to see Liverpool throw their name into the ring for the big stars. Klopp’s side are back in the Champions League next season and there is no reason why they can’t compete for the top players in Europe. Mbappe looks set for an immense future and has frequently been compared to Thierry Henry. The striker was sensational in the Champions League last season with six goals and he will now be under pressure to keep his standards very high. Liverpool could do with a new central striker ahead of next season that can suit Klopp’s style and completing a move for perfect candidate Mbappe would be a huge statement.
