Liverpool eyeing 22-year-old Bundesliga sensation, same agent as Mane - report
By Will Butcher
Liverpool are considering a move for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, according to a report.
Goal claim the 22-year-old midfielder is just one of a number of players being considered by the Merseyside giants, as he continues to star in Leipzig’s wonderful Bundesliga title challenge.
It is believed that Liverpool could hold an advantage over other interested clubs because Keita is represented by the same agency that look after £35million summer signing Sadio Mane.
The agency are said to be hugely pleased with the way Liverpool have treated Mane since his move from Southampton, and that could prove crucial in luring Keita to Anfield.
The report claims that Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Guinea international Keita’s development, as he continues to shine in the middle of the park.

Despite largely featuring as a holding midfielder in front of the back four, Keita has had a hand in 11 goals this season despite making just 21 league and cup appearances.
Scoring four times against Dortmund, Werder Bremen and SC Freiburg, Keita has also provided seven assists and that creativity could be just what the Reds need.
Known for his anticipation and footballing brain, Keita is also adept at keeping the ball and can also offer versatility by playing in the number 10 role.
Joining Leipzig at the start of the season from RedBull Salzburg for £13million, Keita has a contract until the summer of 2020 and is likely to command a hefty transfer fee.
Football Insider verdict:
Keita’s presence in the middle of the park for ambitious Bundesliga side Leipzig has inspired them to a wonderful second place in Germany’s top tier, despite only gaining promotion last season. His ability to constantly break up the opposition’s attacking play, as well as his tireless work ethic, could see the Merseyside giants sign their own version of Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante if he was to move to Merseyside in the summer. Critics have constantly scrutinised the performances of Georginio Wijnaldum and Emre Can this season, and bringing in Keita could be the missing jigsaw piece in Liverpool’s midfield ahead of a potential title challenge in the 2017-18 season. It would also prove that Liverpool can still land the big targets in a highly competitive transfer market.
