Liverpool fans react on Twitter as key man reportedly misses training ahead of Merseyside derby

Liverpool star Adam Lallana reportedly missed training with the club on Tuesday – but fans on Twitter were quick to press the panic button.
The Liverpool Echo claimed in their live blog on Tuesday afternoon (15:07pm) that the 28-year-old was not involved in first team training at Melwood following the international break.
Fans took the absence as a hint that the midfielder had picked up an injury whilst on international duty with England, where he played 66 minutes against Germany, and the full 90 minutes against Lithuania.
With England team-mate Nathaniel Clyne taking part in the training session, fans felt further assured that their worst fears had been realised.
However, they appeared to overlook the fact that the Liverpool full-back was not called-upon in either of England’s fixtures last week, and did not require a rest.

Nevertheless, the Twitter rumours that followed suggesting he would be out for four weeks still sent Liverpool fans into a frenzy, as they fear he will miss the upcoming Merseyside derby clash with Everton on Saturday.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Whether Lallana is injured or not much stance of not being able to stand the national team or concept of international football continues

So once again, Lallana injured on international duty. And you wonder why teams pull out their players with "knocks" prior to games.

There has been no official confirmation that Lallana has returned from international duty, but his potential absence would be a major setback ahead of such a crucial tie.
Lallana has been one of Liverpool’s star performers this season, thriving in a new central midfield role under Jurgen Klopp.
He has contributed seven goals and seven assists from his 31 appearances in all competitions this season.
In other Liverpool news, the future of this reported target is ‘in the hands of God’, according to the player’s agent.
